Luzerne County woman charged with setting brush fires

A West Pittston woman has been charged with setting brush fires at Francis Slocum State Park last month. According to court records filed by officers with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, 44 year old Tara Michelle Siliekus, of Luzerne Avenue, intentionally set several brush fires inside the park in the early evening hours of November 1st. Officials say a trail camera captured a woman identified in court records as Siliekus setting the fires. She is charged with two counts of maliciously setting fire to forest and damaging commonwealth property.
