It was another day of classes disrupted for students in several area school districts yesterday due to threats received. At last night's Wilkes Barre Area School Board meeting, officials addressed the situation. Yesterday the District did not send students home, instead they had a "lockout" and kept students in the classroom saying they felt this was the best protocol for the information they had. They emphasized safety as the number one priority, they take each of the incidents seriously and shared the frustration of parents attending the meeting as to why these situations are happening.
