Authorities are searching for several persons of interest following a violent assault at a bar on Main Street in Luzerne Borough late Saturday night. Police arrived at the scene around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an attack that investigators believe was specifically targeted at one individual. According to a release from the Luzerne Borough Police Department, a companion of the intended victim was also injured, sustaining a laceration while attempting to intervene in the altercation. Multiple victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment following the incident.
Investigators have reviewed video evidence from the establishment, which shows a group of men wearing clothing associated with the Unknown Bikers Motorcycle Club entering the bar. Police stated that all individuals identified in the footage related to the club are currently considered persons of interest in the ongoing investigation. While the motive for the attack remains under investigation, officials emphasized that the nature of the assault suggests it was not a random act of violence.
