The snow has stopped, but the cold temperatures are here to stay for the next few days. Snowfall throughout Northeast Pa. ended around midnight, but high temperatures will be in the low teens, with low temperatures near and below zero in many spots
The Valley Cities received between 2 and 5 inches of snow, while the Poconos and northern tier counties received between 5 to 8 inches of snow. Many school districts scheduled to be open today are either operating on delays or have closed for today.
Due to the inclement weather, LCTA will begin service on Snow Routes today. LCTA CONNECTS microtransit service will operate roads as per driver discretion. Pick-ups and drop-offs should be able to be completed since there are no standard fixed routes and drivers can use alternate roads provided it is safe to do so.
