Luzerne County officials have updated voters about a spelling error on ballots in the 119th Legislative District. WILK's Sue Henry first told you Friday about a mistake on ballots where incumbent State Representative Alec Ryncavage's name was spelled wrong on mail-in ballots. More than 6,000 ballots with the mistake were sent out. His name was listed as Tyncavage rather than Ryncavage. Luzerne County officials say Dominion Voting Systems is taking the blame for what they call 'human error'. They will pay for updated ballots and postcards being sent to affected voters. If you are a mail in ballot voter you will be sent another ballot. If you don't receive one by October 26 you should call the county election bureau. You can go to the county election office to vote on demand during business hours. Officials say they will keep any ballots received with the misspelled candidate. If those voters don't vote on the updated ballot, the ballot submitted will be counted.
