The Luzerne County D.A.’s Office says that a deadly officer-involved shooting in Wilkes-Barre last year has been ruled justified, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. The officer-involved shooting happened on Oct. 6th , while officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Holland Street, when officers approached Omar Jermaine Redditt, with the intent to get his side of the story. At some point during the encounter, Redditt pulled a gun and pointed it at police. A gunfight ensued, and Redditt was shot and killed by police.
