Pennsylvania American Water says it has finished dredging Roaring Brook in Lackawanna County after sediment and silt were released into the waterway earlier this year. According to the DEP, sediment flowed into the Roaring Brook Creek in Scranton and Dunmore in February due to the construction of a project at a dam at Dunmore Reservoir Number 7. The utility plans to continually monitor for additional sediment while the dam upgrade project continues.
