Parts of the walking path around the Lake Scranton reservoir will temporarily close to pedestrian traffic beginning today. Pennsylvania American Water says the walking path will be closed from the area where the path meets the roadway at the small stone bridge to the dam near the fishing pier. The walking path closure is as a safety precaution due to increased truck traffic on the roadway weekdays until August 5. The path will be open Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31. It will close again on August 1 and remain closed for the remainder of the week, reopening Saturday, August. 6. You are reminded not to walk around closed gates or fencing to access the closed portions of the path.
