WYOMING, Pa. – A pedestrian is dead following a fatal car accident on Monday afternoon in Luzerne County.
According to the Luzerne County Coroner's office, an unidentified man was hit by a car around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Sixth Street and Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming borough. The man was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police officials confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. No further details have been released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
