HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is warning patients across the Commonwealth to remain vigilant against an active phishing scam targeting users of the MyChart online patient portal.
According to state officials, scammers are sending fraudulent emails and text messages impersonating the healthcare platform and claiming patients are eligible to receive a free "MyChart Medicare Kit." The Attorney General's office confirmed that no such reward or kit program exists, warning that the messages are designed to trick recipients into surrendering sensitive personal information or login credentials.
Officials advise anyone who receives a suspicious message to avoid clicking any included links and to file a complaint directly with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection.
