Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a counterfeit $100 bill was passed at the Mohegan Pennsylvania Casino in Luzerne County.
According to troopers, the incident happened on the evening of June 26. A man attempting to use the bill at a slot machine had it rejected by the machine. He then handed the bill to a slot machine attendant, who brought it to the casino’s main cage—where staff determined it was counterfeit.
The Bureau of Gaming Enforcement is now handling the investigation. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the man involved has not been released.
