SCRANTON, Pa. — A section of the popular Lake Scranton walking trail will be temporarily closed to the public beginning today while utility crews perform infrastructure work in the area.
Pennsylvania American Water announced that the designated portion of the path will remain completely closed to pedestrians through August 21 to ensure public safety during the project.
The closure specifically affects the stretch of the trail located between the small stone bridge, where the walking path intersects with the roadway, and the Lake Scranton dam positioned near the local fishing pier. Trail users are advised to plan their routes accordingly and heed all posted signage during the construction period.
