Preparing NEPA school districts for emergencies

Several area school districts are making plans for worst case senarios and are working on emergency evacuation plans. Several email threats disrupted school districts last fall, and school districts met in Wyoming County to better prepare. The NEPA Regional Counter Terrorism Task Force hosted the training in Tunkhannock on Wednesday, which focused on handling crisis incidents in rural districts.  The group will also be holding similar training in Carbon, Luzerne, and Susquehanna counties in the coming weeks.
