Probation violation filed against driver who critically injured teen

In Luzerne County a probation violation has been filed against the suspected driver that critically injured a Kingston teenager. The Luzerne County Department of Adult Probation and Parole filed a petition alleging 28 year-old Shahiyd Deen violated his probation when he was charged with leaving the scene after striking the teenager at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. Deen remains jailed at the Luzerne County prison on the charges filed by Wilkes-Barre and Edwardsville police. A hearing on the probation violation petition has not been scheduled.
