Fire damaged an apartment building in Taylor Saturday afternoon, leaving 8 people without a place to live. Flames broke out just before 1 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street in Taylor. Smoke could be seen coming from the back of the building. Several fire departments responded to help put out the flames. Neighbors say everyone made it out safely following that weekend fire in Taylor.
Two families were displaced from their home Saturday afternoon after a fire broke out on Butler Street in Pittston. Seven different fire companies were out on scene for hours working to put out the flames of the 2nd alarm fire. The blaze heavily damaged the second floor of the home and the roof of the duplex. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but it is currently considered accidental.
