Today there will be lane restrictions on Interstate 81 northbound and southbound from Exit 143 (Hazelton) to Exit 145 (West Hazleton) in Luzerne County for bridge inspections. Work will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Pennsylvania American Water will be conducting major roadwork in one part of Wilkes Barre beginning Wednesday 9/20. Work on North Washington Street from East Union Street to East Market Street will take approximately 6 weeks. During that time, Monday thru Friday from 7am to 5pm, the road will be closed to all traffic. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
