There is a shortage of rock salt in some parts of our area as residents deal with the coldest winter in 10 years. And the recent cold snap makes things even harder for people in Wayne County as businesses are having trouble keeping rock salt in stock. Some say the shortage has plowing companies rationing with the secondary roads and driveways not being salted.
