Owner of Scranton Ritz Theatre accuses former partner of embezzlement

A majority owner of the Ritz Theater and Noir Dark Spirits Restaurant on Wyoming Avenue downtown sued his former partner in those ventures, claiming the partner embezzled over $75,000 from business operations. According to reports, Josh Balz filed a lawsuit Wednesday in Lackawanna County Court against James Olecki, who previously served as a consultant and business associate of The Ritz and conducted limited operations on behalf of the businesses inside the theater.
