Scranton’s new Weston Field pool is officially open. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held this afternoon at 12:30 at Weston Field on Providence Road, with Mayor Paige Cognetti and members of the City’s Parks and Recreation Department in attendance.
The new outdoor pool features a zero-entry design, a slide, additional water features, and a retractable shade area. A deteriorating pool house was removed and replaced with a new mechanical building. The pool welcomed its first swimmers over the weekend.
