A Scranton man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl. William Lew Whitcomb is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and other felony counts after the victim disclosed the abuse to her sister late last month. Whitcomb had been living with the girl's family between April and October of last year. Whitcomb remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail and awaits a preliminary hearing March 6.
