SCRANTON, PA — A Scranton man is behind bars on a quarter-million-dollar bond following a harrowing incident where he allegedly broke into a neighbor's residence and assaulted minors.
According to the Scranton Police Department, Ravirajsinh Champavat targeted a home along Linden Street. Investigators report that Champavat managed to sneak into the residence, where he then exposed himself to children inside. The criminal complaint further alleges that he molested two young girls during the intrusion.
Champavat was quickly apprehended and now faces multiple serious offenses, including:
Burglary
Indecent Assault
Related charges involving the safety of minors
Following his arraignment, a judge set Champavat’s bail at $250,000. Unable to post bond, he remains in custody at the Lackawanna County Prison awaiting further court proceedings.
Authorities have not released the ages of the victims to protect their privacy, and the investigation remains active.
