SCRANTON, PA — A 30-year-old Scranton resident is facing criminal charges after being arrested for allegedly abusing two young children in South Scranton. Detectives with the Scranton Police Department's Special Victims Unit launched an investigation after receiving a report of an incident in the 500 block of Cherry Street.
Following the investigation, police took Jose Leon into custody and charged him with two felony counts of endangering the welfare of children and two misdemeanor counts of simple assault. Authorities have not released the ages of the children involved or provided further specific details surrounding the nature of the alleged abuse.
