A Scranton Police K-9 vehicle was involved in a dramatic rollover crash on Interstate 380 northbound Thursday evening. Emergency crews responded to the multi-vehicle accident around 6:00 p.m. near Exit 20 for Route 307. According to a police officer who drove past the scene shortly after the collision, the heavily damaged K-9 unit truck had rolled completely over the highway guardrail.
Despite the severity of the wreckage, the Scranton Police Department confirmed that both the officer behind the wheel and his K-9 partner escaped the crash without any serious injuries. Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the multi-vehicle pileup, which caused significant northbound traffic delays throughout Thursday night.
