Pennsylvania State Police are advising motorists to avoid the junction of Interstates 80 and 81 due to an ongoing search for two suspects after a police chase ended in a crash.
The incident began Wednesday morning when officers pursued a vehicle reported stolen from Beaver Meadows. According to Trooper Anthony Petroski, the chase ended around 8:30 a.m. when the suspect vehicle crashed on the eastbound ramp from I-81 northbound to I-80.
Heavy traffic congestion has been reported in the area as law enforcement continues to search for the two individuals who fled the scene.
Authorities are asking the public to steer clear of the area while the investigation is underway.
