Second gentleman Doug Emhoff to campaign in NEPA today

Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff is scheduled to campaign in Northeast Pa. today. According to the Harris Walz campaign, Emhoff is scheduled to campaign for the Harris-Walz campaign in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties today. Emhoff plans to "highlight the Vice President’s plans to strengthen the middle class, protect Pennsylvanians’ fundamental freedoms, and be a president for all Americans,". Emhoff will be joined by former Republican officials including former Georgia Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, and former Congressman Joe Walsh. Both are supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

A pair of TV celebrities were campaigning in Scranton for Kamala Harris over the weekend. According to reports, Ed Helms, well known for playing Andy Bernard in "The Office", visited the city Sunday afternoon along with Adam Scott who played Ben Wyatt in "Parks and Recreation", to support the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket and thank volunteers for their efforts. Helms and Scott stopped for lunch at Alfredo's Pizza in South Scranton, a pizza place mentioned numerous times on "The Office" , and joined Harris supporters for a canvass launch at the United Association Local Union No. 524 building on East Corey Street to highlight the differences between Harris’ "New Way Forward" and Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda.
