Sentencing for Scranton man involved in drug death

A Scranton man was sentenced to 21 years in prison for conspiring to distribute fentanyl resulting in death. According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, 29 year old Richard Potter was involved in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and other controlled substances throughout Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties beginning in January 2022 until the time of his arrest in February 2023. Potter plead guilty in federal court in Scranton in September.
