Some drop boxes installed in Luzerne County

A hearing scheduled for Monday morning about Luzerne County mail ballot drop boxes was cancelled because county Manager Romilda Crocamo agreed to provide the boxes for the Nov. 5 general election. Officials said the plaintiffs subsequently entered into a stipulation agreement with Crocamo, prompting the court to dismiss the case today. The county election board is scheduled to vote on two matters related to the drop boxes at its Wednesday night meeting at 6 p.m. in the county courthouse on River Street in Wilkes-Barre, with remote attendance instructions posted at luzernecounty.org
