LAFLIN, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating a shooting stemming from a suspected road rage incident along Interstate 81 in Luzerne County.
The encounter occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday along the northbound lanes of I-81, near mile marker 174 in the area of Laflin and Pittston Township.
According to troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Wilkes-Barre barracks, shots were fired during the dispute on the highway. No injuries have been reported in connection with the discharge of the firearm.
State police continue to lead the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the incident on I-81 North or who may have relevant dashcam video footage from the area at the time of the event to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Wilkes-Barre barracks.
