A former Crestwood School District administrator was killed by her husband in her Susquehanna County home on Tuesday. Susquehanna County Acting Coroner Jessica Chiaramonte identified the deceased as 60-year-old Margaret “Peg” Foster and 61-year-old Andrew Kelemen.
The discovery was made after state troopers arrived at the residence to conduct a welfare check. Upon entering the home, authorities found both individuals dead from gunshot wounds.
According to Coroner Chiaramonte, the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide. A preliminary investigation by the police determined that Kelemen fatally shot Foster before turning the weapon on himself. The community has expressed shock over the loss of Foster, who was well-known for her years of service within the local school district.
