Teens charged with plotting school attack have cases moved to juvenile court

The Lackawanna County District Attorney says the criminal cases against two 16-year-olds from Dunmore charged with plotting a Columbine-style attack at their school have been moved to juvenile court. The two teenagers, a boy and a girl, were originally charged as adults after police say they planned an attack on Dunmore High School. They faced counts including weapons of mass destruction, terroristic threats and aggravated assault. Court document say Investigators found a Molotov cocktail, components used in bomb construction, writings on how to make bombs and handwritten lists of guns, ammunition and tactical gear during a search of the girl's home last year. Investigators say they planned to attack April 20, 2024, on the 25th anniversary of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado.
