Three People Are Dead After Snow Shoveling Dispute in Plains Township

PLAINS TOWNSHIP- Plains Township Police are saying a dispute over snow shoveling turned deadly this morning, leaving three people dead.

Police responded to the shooting on West Bergh Street Plains Township after neighbors reported hearing gunfire in the street just before 9:30am.

James Goy Jr. and his wife Lisa Ann Goy were shot and killed by their neighbor, 47-year-old Jeffrey Spaide. Police say Spaide used two guns in the shooting.

When police responded to the scene, Spaide turned one of his guns on himself, taking his own life.

Plains Township Police Chief Dale Binker said the Goys’ had a 15-year-old son with autism who is now staying with his grandparents.
