Two homeless shelters in our area are expected to close. Keystone Mission is closing both its overnight shelters along Olive Street in Scranton and East Union Street in Wilkes-Barre. The nonprofit says the decision was made due to a lack of funding, grants, and donations. There is no word yet on a timeline for when those locations will shut down. The Keystone Mission located at the Wilkes-Barre Transformation Center near Sherman Hills will remain open.
