
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission today approved a joint settlement that will mean a 40 percent smaller natural gas distribution rate increase for customers served by UGI Utilities, Inc. The increase will be phased in with a two-step process. The first, effective next month on October 29. When the second occurs on October 1, 2023, the total average bill will increase about $5.71 compared to $9.39 which was the increase in the initial request. UGI originally requested an increase of base rate revenues of 82.7million dollars a year, but is now 49.45 million dollars per year.
