Authorities have released the identity of a man who died following a work-related accident last Wednesday in Monroe County. The Monroe County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 56-year-old Jason Singer of Stroud Township.
The incident occurred in a wooded area off Route 611 in Pocono Township. Emergency responders were called to the scene around noon, where Singer was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted the following day determined that the cause of death was blunt force injuries sustained during the accident.
Singer was a longtime resident of the area and was known for his work with a local tree service. While the coroner has confirmed the cause of death, officials have not yet specified the exact nature of the work being performed or the specific events that led to the fatal injuries. The Pocono Township Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
