A winner has finally been called in the primary race for the Republican nomination for the 117th district. After several months of recounts, challenges, and court dates Jamie Walsh was certified the victor over Mike Cabell Monday. Walsh won the nomination by four votes. Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo confirmed the election's certification. With no Democratic opposition, Walsh will run unopposed in the November election.
