Sarai Doyle has entered a guilty plea to two counts of third-degree murder in connection with the gruesome "House of Horrors" investigation that shocked the city of Wilkes-Barre. The plea deal addresses Doyle’s role in the torture and deaths of Nicole Cuevas and Debra Fox, whose bodies were discovered months apart following a complex criminal investigation. According to prosecutors, Cuevas was subjected to days of physical abuse and torture by five individuals before being killed and buried in the basement of a residence on Carlisle Street in April 2023. Her remains were not recovered by authorities until February 2024.
The investigation further revealed that the owner of the Carlisle Street home, Debra Fox, was also targeted and killed, with her body eventually discovered in a wooded area near the Cross Valley Expressway in March 2024. While Doyle has moved forward with her plea, the cases against the four other co-defendants remain pending. The court has granted those remaining suspects a 30-day window for potential plea negotiations and established a strict 60-day deadline for any further pretrial motions or agreements. Doyle now awaits a formal sentencing hearing, where she could face decades in state prison for her involvement in the conspiracy and killings.
