WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, PA – Power has been successfully restored to the Wyoming Valley Mall, and the shopping center is anticipated to reopen its doors this morning, Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
The mall, located in Wilkes-Barre Township, had been closed since June 25, 2025, due to a power outage. Officials attributed the outage to damage sustained by underground transmission lines. The extended closure significantly impacted retailers and shoppers.
