We may not have baseball for quite a while, but that doesn’t mean we have to miss out on the sights and sounds of spring training.
Washington Nationals slugger Juan Soto made sure of that.
The 23-year-old star posted a video on his Instagram page Wednesday playing in a game somewhere surrounded by palm trees while he smashed a moonshot deep into right field.

Soto captioned the video, “WE PLAY LOUD, deadline is over spring training just started.”

The Instagram post reminded us all just how fun it is to watch Soto play, but also served as a reminder of what fans are missing as the players and owners continue to be at odds regarding a new collective bargaining agreement.

For now, it’s videos like the one Soto posted that will need to keep baseball fans entertained until a deal is worked out.
