Final 'Fifty Shades' book from Christian Grey's perspective titled 'Freed' coming this summer

Ready for more Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?

You’ve heard the story from Anastasia Steele’s perspective, but now, you can tap into Christian Grey’s version.

E L James’ final installment, “Freed: Fifty Shades Freed as told by Christian,” is set to hit shelves this summer on June 1 in North America and the UK.

A release date for other territories will be announced soon.

The book is said to be the highly-anticipated conclusion to the trilogy and offers up Grey’s point of view.

When the book picks up, Grey and Steele have just gotten married and are experiencing some challenges. “Their passion burns hotter and deeper than ever, while Ana’s defiant spirit continues to stir Christian’s darkest fears and test his need for control. As old rivalries and resentments endanger them both, one misjudgment threatens to tear them apart,” the synopsis reads.

It follows the books titled “Grey” and “Darker.”

When announcing the upcoming book, James called it a “labor of love.”

“For me, just as for Anastasia Steele, Christian is a challenging, infuriating, and endlessly fascinating character,” the author noted. “Living in his head is exhausting, but I got to explore aspects of his life in Freed that we only glimpsed in the original trilogy.”

The “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy has sold over 150 million copies worldwide.

James also served as a producer on all three “Fifty Shades” films starring Dakota Johnson (Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Grey), which grossed more than a billion dollars at the worldwide box office.

“Freed” will be published by the Bloom Books imprint of Sourcebooks. Pre-orders will be available soon.
