Taylor Lautner isn’t letting any online negativity get to him.
Lautner used negative comments about his current appearance to discuss mental health, via video on his Instagram.
"If this was 10 years ago, five years ago, maybe even two, three years ago, that really would have got under my skin," he said. "It would have caused me to want to just go in a hole and not go outside."
The “Twilight” star said he’s “in a different place” and no longer focuses on “wrong things”.
“If you put your value in what other people think of you, that's how you're going to feel. But if you put your value in you knowing who you are, what's important to you, what you love, that kind of stuff won't get to you,”
Lautner continued in the video.
Lautner even reposted some of the hurtful comments about him not aging gracefully. Others included he “looks like old broccoli” and has “aged like a raisin”.
The actor’s wife, also named Taylor Lautner, commented on the post, “It doesn’t make me question who I am. God I love you”.
Lautner last appeared in the Netflix sports dramedy, “Home Team”.
