Some call them muckleheads, some use other words to descibe the bugs that can be found in abundance on the shores of Lake Erie. This morning in Avon Lake the pests seemed to show up for work all at the same time.

I can see how calling them mayflies in mid October can be confusion, but they're almost gone for a few months.
