Caitlyn Wertenberger of Washington state, has a portly feline who went missing for a month. Piper, the 19 pound tuxedo cat, went missing around the time that the house next door was under construction. Caitlyn put up flyers and searched the area, but to no avail.
A month later, the new neighbors move in and tell Caitlyn that they've been hearing meowing from inside the house for the past week. They investigate the home and in a place that no-one would've guessed, they find Piper. She had gotten herself stuck in the chimney. Her confidence, determination, and luck that the family didn't have a relaxing night by the fire, is inspiring.
A vet trip showed Piper was dehydrated and lost 7 pounds during her 28 days of being missing.
