Despite Baker Mayfield getting a fresh start with the Carolina Panthers, he will forever be linked with the Cleveland Browns, the franchise that drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

After trading Mayfield to Carolina for a fifth-round pick, the former Heisman Trophy winner is starting to settle in with his new team as training camp started for the team this week.

On the first day of camp, Mayfield made it known that he doesn't want to see anyone wearing his old Browns jersey while in Carolina, calling out a fan who was seen holding one on his way to the field.

The local media seemed to have spotted the fan Mayfield was referring to, telling reporters that she is a lifelong Browns fan but has switched allegiances over to the Panthers following Mayfield's trade to Carolina.

With Cleveland and Carolina set to face off in Week 1, Mayfield will continue to be asked about the Browns until that matchup occurs.

According to his former teammate Myles Garrett said he's not focused on sacking Mayfield when the two teams collash.

“Not really,” Garrett said to the AP.

“I know some of my friends were. But they can make their jokes, they have fun with it but I have a lot of time with Jacoby and all these other quarterbacks I’ve seen before, Dobbs. So, being able to work against them, work against Jed, and just try to improve on my technique, my fundamentals, and drive those points home with some of the younger guys, that’s all I’m really focused on. Week One and all that, that’s yet to come."
