All of the hype and drama leading into the NFL Draft finally came to a head last night as the first round took center stage in Detroit. Here are how the first five picks played out:
Chicago Bears – Caleb Williams (QB – USC)
Washington Commanders – Jayden Daniels (QB – LSU)
New England Patriots – Drake Maye (QB – North Carolina)
Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison, Jr. (WR – Ohio State)
Los Angeles Chargers – Joe Alt (OT – Notre Dame)
It was interesting to hear Patriots former coach Bill Belichick criticize the Patriots pick in quarterback Drake Maye.
You can see how the rest of Round One progressed here. Rounds two and three will happen tonight, starting at 7:00 pm ET. Rounds four through seven will be tomorrow, starting at noon ET. The Browns have six overall picks this year, they'll begin selecting players tonight after no picks in the first round.
