Seabury Avenue has become an attraction due to its extravagant holiday displays over the years. But now due to some new/old rules, the displays will look a little different this year.
Last year, police felt like they had numerous complaints about trespassing and disturbances.
On top of that, traffic became a major issue with tour busses and street parking.
So now, Fairview Park will start enforcing some city ordinances that have been around for 50 years.
Vehicles that exceed 10,000 pounds will no longer be permitted on Seabury Avenue.
Additionally, no decorations can be placed in the public right of way, meaning the sidewalks and tree lawns.
Residents aren't happy with the changes, but hopefully that doesn't ruin the most wonderful time of the year.
