Baseball's brightest stars were shining bright at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas. Including five members of the Cleveland Guardians: Steven Kwan, Jose Ramirez, Josh Naylor, David Fry and Emmanuel Clase.
With the game tied at three in the bottom of the third, David Fry of the Guards delivered an RBI single that tied the game. The rest of the Cleveland All-Stars didn’t do much throughput the game, Kwan scored a run, but none of the other three Guardians’ batters had a hit.
Then, with the game on the line and the American League up by two, Guards closer Emmanuel Clase was called upon to do what he does best, and close out the game. Clase did just that by getting all three outs, two via strikeout. The American League won the game 5-3 over the National League.
As for the Cleveland Guardians, they’re back at it after the All-Star break on Friday night as they host the San Diego Padres.
