Cleveland Indians baseball legend and hall of famer Rocky Colavito has died.
The Guardians said Colavito passed away peacefully at home alongside his family in Bernville, Pennsylvania. He was 91.
The New York City native signed with Cleveland at 17 years old after a tryout at Yankee Stadium in 1951.
During eight seasons with the club, Colavito landed 190 home runs, 574 RBI and 851 hits as a right fielder. He was then traded to the Detroit Tigers.
Colavito was named in Cleveland’s hall of fame in 2006.
