Americans swear the most in the world, and 41.6% more frequently than those in the UK, which is the second most sweary country. Some 41.6 tweets out of every 1,000 sent from the U.S. contain swear words, compared to 28.6 for the UK—which is, in turn, just a few decimal points ahead of Australia. The four least sweary countries are all in the Middle East, while the 12 least sweary countries are in Asia or Africa. Kuwaiti users swear the least of all: just 3.6 tweets per 1,000.
American Jesse Kipf has been nailed with an 81-month jail sentence after being convicted of “faking his own death by hacking government systems and officially marking himself as deceased.” In January of 2023, Kipf “used the credentials of a physician” to gain access to the Death Registry System in Hawaii to create a “case” that “recorded his own death.” From there, he created a Death Certificate Worksheet from the state, and “assigned himself as the medical certifier for the case and certified his own death.” With the paperwork appearing correct, government databases then listed the 39-year-old man as officially kicking the bucket. Then, Kipf upped his game, stole other credentials, and accessed “other states’ death registries, private business networks, and governmental and corporate networks,” and tried to “sell access to these networks to potential buyers on the dark web.” Once he’s released from jail, Kipf will be on the hook for the $195K to cover the child support he was trying to avoid…and to cover the cost of damage he inflicted on the computers he accessed.
What kind of world has it turned into when people are robbing the home of a Victoria’s Secret model? Is nothing sacred anymore? According to authorities, the home of Daniela Brag was broken into earlier this week, and the thieves made off with “two safes, multiple designer bags, and a ton of jewelry.” Sources say the total haul from the burglary came out to more than $1 million. The LAPD is investigating, but so far there’ve been no arrests.
