If the Los Angeles Dodgers end up winning the World Series, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Freddie Freeman isn’t the MVP. Last night, Freeman hit his third homer of the series to start off what ended up being a 4-2 Dodgers win over the New York Yankees. Walker Buehler pitched five shutout innings, and the bullpen took over to finish it off. Tonight, the Yankees will try to avoid the sweep in front of their home crowd, with first pitch scheduled for 8:08 pm ET.
Jimmy John’s is breaking out a Picklewich. It combines their signature sandwiches with their fan-favorite Jimmy Pickles, in place of bread.
Through Nov. 14 it comes in two options: the Vito Picklewich and the Turkey Picklewich. To pair with the sandwiches, the chain is bringing back their Pickle Jimmy Chips. Customers in the reward program can grab the new 8 inch Picklewich for 50-percent off on National Sandwich Day, Nov. 3.
He comes across as a nice guy, but people forget he played some not-so-nice guys in "Training Day" and "American Gangster." Denzel Washington let a little of that side flash out this week for some over-eager fans and photographers. Wednesday night outside the Museum of Modern Art, fans converged on the actor; Washington seemingly told the crowd to be more respectful and wait patiently, saying "I told you I would see you when I get out," he said. "Which part of that don’t y’all understand?" The fans refused to back off, at which point the actor left the conversation by telling the group they would only get what they came for if they changed their behavior. A little respect goes a long way.
