The horror/gore-fest “Terrifier 3” hits theaters on Friday, and it’s already living up to the hype according to reports. So far, the film has a 90% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes among critics, but it’s the reactions from preview audiences that are really turning heads. By “turning heads,” we mean downward into sick bags that are being provided by cinema staff for the showing of the ultraviolent slasher flick. There’ve also been reports of audience members walking out of screenings because it’s just too much. If it’s your thing this Halloween, rock on with your bad self. If it’s not…you’ve been warned.

The price of your millionaire dreams is going up. Lottery officials with the Mega Millions lottery have announced that tickets will cost $5 per play starting in April, up from the current price of $2. The move is part of a design to create bigger jackpots for the game, with the Mega Millions Consortium saying the “new and improved” game will offer larger starting jackpots that grow faster and better odds of winning the jackpot. It’s only the second time in the history of Mega Millions that the price of a ticket is going up; the last time it increased was in 2017 when tickets went from $1 to $2. Powerball has no plans to make any changes at this time.
